2020 in Review

With the end of the year a few days away, I thought I would take a few minutes and reflect on everything that I have done and haven’t done in the past 12 months.

I opened Quade Photography LLC in May of 2020. Great timing, I know. Who opens a photography business in the middle of a pandemic? Apparently me.

I was only able to attend one craft fair this year but I learned a lot from it, and I’m hoping to go to more in the future. I’m in the process of finding more that will coincide with my weekends off from the day job.

I found two YouTubers that I enjoy watching. (James Popsys and Thomas Heaton)

I took five photos that I am very happy with, and several hundred that I am not.

I experimented with the settings on my camera and I found what works and what doesn’t work for me.

I made 100 or so greeting cards, and I have 30 items for sale on my Etsy shop.

I wasn’t able to travel as much as I wanted to for photography. We had to cancel our trip to Hawaii. But that’s ok. I’m hoping to be able to travel more next year.

I have been able to do several sunrise photography shoots, and for as much as I hate mornings, I’d rather go out with my camera at the beginning of my day that at the end.

In the next post, I’ll talk about my 2021 goals in more detail. For now, I want to know what accomplishments you have made in the past year. Please let me know in the comments below.
