On Thursday I went out for sunset photography. I initially went to a park in Winneconne, Wisconsin but the sun wasn’t over the lake like I wanted, and I didn’t really see anyone else on the ice, so I didn’t want to risk it.
Then I drove and found myself in Omro, Wisconsin and I came across the same obstacle. The sun wasn’t where I wanted it to be.
So I kept driving. I’m not really sure where I wound up, but I eventually found a tree in the middle of a field, so I pulled over and snapped a few photos. I didn’t even have to get out of my car.

I moved on, and eventually I found a cool spot on the side of the road. So I pulled over again, put my hazard lights on, and took a few photos. I took out my camera and tripod (after writing a post about how I ditched it), and I watched the sun.
I would have stayed a little longer, but the road stated getting busy, and I felt like I was in the way. One person almost pulled over because I gave a friendly wave. But then they saw the camera and continued.
I don’t usually like parking on the side of the road, especially if there are cars behind me, and I’m alone. So if anyone knows of any parks, park and rides, or other safe places to park my vehicle while I go out, let me know.
