Sunrise at Asylum Bay Aug 2021
Asylum Bay is one of my favorite places close to home to catch the sunrise. And this morning was extra special because I finally talked my husband to join me. (He hates mornings just as much as I do).
Since I had company, I decided to switch up my normal routine of crawling out of bed, putting on my outer layer and going. I decided to be extra this morning, and shower and get dressed up. I wanted to take cute pictures together in the first morning rays, and I didn’t want to look like a hot mess.
When we got there, there was no sun. There was a little hint of pink, but it was way too cloudy and hazy for the sun to come out.ย But that was ok. I did get some cool photos of a tree and a few branches in the lake.

I also didn’t take any photos of the two of us. The mosquitos were biting, and there wasn’t enough room for my camera and us to be looking at the lake.
Even though it wasn’t the sunrise I wanted, it was a peaceful morning and I’m happy that I was able to share it with my best friend. Hopefully the next time I can convince him to join me the sky will be more cooperative.
