New Location

Earlier this month, I went to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin for a photo shoot. For some reason, I have never gone there for landscape photography, I never even really thought about going there, even though it’s not that far away from my house. Once I was done with my photo shoot, I went to another park to scope it out before I committed to a sunrise.
I found many potential compositions that I had to go back during sunrise. I hesitated last Thursday since the weather didn’t look as promising as I wanted it to. But I haven’t gone out for a long time so I went anyway. I’m so glad I did too. There was a lighthouse and it was my first time photographing a lighthouse at sunrise. It’s safe to say, I’m in love.

I wandered the park and I have a few more that are my favorites.

This bench reminds me of a quiet, peaceful life. One day, I can’t wait to have a view like this of my own. I might have to wait until retirement, but that’s ok.

I love the wispy clouds in this photo, and the pale yellow of the early sun.

This last photo is my absolute favorite from the day. I love taking reflection photos, and I love the colors.
I can’t wait until autumn and winter to take more photos at this location with the changing leaves, snow on the ground, and ice on the lake.
Later this week, I’m going to look for more parks in Fond du Lac and nearby areas to see if there are some interesting views for sunset. I feel like I need more sunset locations. Anyone have any suggestions within an hour of Oshkosh, Wisconsin?
