Top Five Cities in Wisconsin

Later this year, I want to go on more weekend getaways. I finally have most of my weekends free, and now that tax season is over, my husband will too. (He is my accountant). I want to take full advantage of that time to see our state. So I’ve started a list of five cities in Wisconsin that I want to visit in addition to the state parks.

A few years ago, someone recommended Augusta. He said that I had to go in the fall to see the water wheel with the changing leaves. Our anniversary is in the fall, so I think it would be a nice weekend trip for just the two of us.

Green Lake

I was technically here once for a school trip a long time ago. But, since I didn’t really get to explore I would really like to go again. From what I remember, this was a really pretty area and I would love to photograph it.

Port Washington

We have been to Port Washington a few times in the recent past. My grandma grew up here, and I have a lot of family buried there, including my grandpa. So I like to go and visit every now and then. This was another photogenic city, and I want to try and photograph Lake Michigan at sunrise.

I grew up not that far from Bayfield, so I have been here many times. This is another town on a big lake and I cannot get enough of those. One of these times when we visit my parents, I’d like to go there for sunrise. I would also like to be a vendor at Applefest sometime, just to see how that would go.

Port Wing

When I was little, my family went to Port Wing several times to go out to a supper club. I don’t remember the name of the supper club, but I do remember going to a beach on Lake Superior to collect rocks. If I get really lucky, I’ll be able to photograph the sunset while there.

Those are the top five cities in Wisconsin that I want to visit. What other cities should I add to my list? Please comment below.
