How I Stay Motivated When I Don’t Feel Like Working

We’re in the third month of the year, and this is when I typically start losing momentum. So today, I thought I’d share four tips for how I stay motivated when I don’t feel like working.

Make a Schedule

Toward the end of last year, I bought a planner, and I spent several days coming up with a schedule. Having a schedule has helped me to know what I’m blogging about and when. That way, I can’t procrastinate too much because I already know what I’m going to do.

I also have my social media post times and days added to my calendar, so I don’t forget to post. I like having the time to post as well, so I can take advantage of the time when most of my audience is online too.

Don’t Work in Every Spare Minute

I try and do a couple of things every working day, and once those items are done, I’m done for the day. I don’t want to burn myself out and wind up quitting, so I’m not forcing myself to work in all of my spare time.

Have a To-Do List

I am a big fan of having a to-do list. There’s something about crossing items off when I finish them. Having a to-do list, I can finish extra tasks at my leisure. It also helps me to not forget what I have to do. I keep my list in my journal, so I can add items to it as I think of them.

Have Fun with my Camera

Whenever I go out with my camera, I try and make it fun. If I’m having fun, I don’t feel like I’m working, and I’m more likely to stay out longer. I also like to make too many TikToks and capture a few Instagram photos on my phone.

This is how I stay motivated to work when I don’t feel like it. What do you guys do to stay motivated? Comment your tips below.
