April Wellness
Well, I didn’t die from a lack of sugar last month. I did have a few cheat days, but that’s ok. Baby steps, right?! Anyway, here are my April wellness goals.
- Continue with the limited sugar. That went well enough last month that I want to keep it up. I might even try and cut back even more, but we’ll see.
- Continue with the water intake. This hasn’t really been an issue and I’d like to keep it that way.
- Take my bike out. It is finally getting warmer, so I’d like to spend more time outside. Especially after how long this past winter was. It seems like the older I get, the longer winter gets. Has anyone else noticed that too?
- Work on my mental health. I saw a TikTok that suggested that magnesium glyceinate was helpful for anxiety and sleep. We’ve been taking it for a few weeks now and maybe it’s helping. I feel like I’ve been sleeping better anyway.

I substitute real maple syrup for sugar in most things. Your body processes it differently (more healthily) than sugar. You might want to check that out for those craving days!
I haven’t cut out sugar entirely, I just don’t want it until later in the afternoon. But I’ll have to try maple syrup for a sweet treat.
