June Wellness

I’m breaking up my U.P series today, to update you on my June wellness.

Update

I want to start this post by saying I had a doctor’s appointment and a dentist appointment a few weeks ago, and everything went well during both. The only thing is I need a crown on one of my teeth, but we’ve been watching it for a while now, so that wasn’t anything new.

I started the month off strong by doing yoga three times a week, for the first couple of weeks after my last wellness post. Which felt great, but then we went on a couple of road trips and I got out of the habit.

I also was doing well with my water intake during those first couple of weeks too. But then I got into this terrible habit of having coffee right after work at 4 pm. Which has been maybe not the best idea, but it’s ok.

My morning sugar breaks have been going well for the most part as well. Honestly, I don’t even miss it in the mornings. I probably will never get out of my love of sugar though.

We also are trying to eat more fruits at night. We’ve been in a pear mood lately which has been great.

Today, was my first bike ride of the year! Finally. I only biked about a mile, but for my first one of the year, it was a good distance. Depending on when my husband gets home tonight, I might be able to talk him into going out again tonight.

June Goals

I would like to take my bike out two or three times a week for my June wellness. And I would like to get back into yoga. ( I know, again). One of these months I’m going to be able to tell you that my yoga routine is second nature and I don’t struggle to do it.

As the summer goes on I would like to add more of a variety of fruits. Right now, our selection is pretty limited. And maybe that will help my sugar cravings and I can cut out the bad sugar entirely. (haha).

I’m also considering getting a paddleboard. Do you guys have one? Do you love it? Are there any tips for picking one out?

  1. I have two paddleboards and I love them! I began with an inflatable one because I didn’t have a lake handy at my door (inflatables are good for car travel). But once we got our cabin on a lake, I got a “regular” board. It’s a Paddle North paddleboard, made in MN. Has a loon image on it.
