Black-and-White Photo of June

I was planning on sharing one more photo from our weekend in the U.P. today, but then my husband asked if I wanted to go on a bike ride last night. And of course, I said yes. I told him that I needed to get my black-and-white photo of June taken, so this was the perfect opportunity to do that. And I’ll talk more about that bike ride later this week.

Today I just want to share this photo.

This group of geese is my black and white photo of June.

These baby geese were so cute, and they are getting big. And I really wanted to get a little closer to them, but their parents are very protective and I didn’t want to get attacked.

If I had been thinking, I would have put my 300 mm lens on my camera for my own safety, but I wasn’t thinking. So I was stuck with my 18-55 mm lens. Next time I’ll hopefully be more prepared to photograph the geese.

I told my husband to bike ahead of me because I had a feeling that they wouldn’t like my presence. He biked past them while I got off my bike and photographed them. When my husband came back by me he told me that the geese hissed at him twice.

I hope you guys enjoyed my black-and-white photo of June. Do you guys have any suggestions for what I should photograph in July? I’ve got a lot of TikToks posted from our Memorial Day trip too, if you want to check those out.

It had been way too long since we went on a bike ride together, so it was much needed. I brought my camera with me so I could hopefully get my black-and-white photo for the month.   […]
