To Read in 2023

Back at the end of 2021, I made a post about the books that I wanted Santa to bring me. I also promised that I would leave a review of those books. Well, about that. I didn’t read them. At least not yet. They are still on my list to read, and I will get to them someday. Hopefully soon.

But in the meantime, I thought I’d buy more books. I’m in the worst book slump of my life, and it’s been going on for years. The internet may have ruined my attention span. Whoops.

I really should have bought these books earlier in the year, when I had more than enough time to read and have the excuse to spend my time inside, but I didn’t. So here we are, at the end of June, buying books to help me with my business. But now, I get to spend some time outside soaking up the Vitamin D while I have the chance.

The Books I Bought

Artpreneur: The Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Sustainable Living from Your Creativity. I just typed in photo business in the search bar on Amazon and this one looked the most interesting of the group.

Building a StoryBrand: Clarify Your Message So Customers Will Listen. I was watching a soap maker on YouTube talk about her five favorite business books, and this was the only one she mentioned that didn’t have anything to do with soap.

How to Talk to Anyone About Anything: Improve Your Social Skills, Master Small Talk, Connect Effortlessly, and Make Real Friends (Communication Skills Training). I have a hard time talking to strangers (stranger danger and all) so I’m hoping that this book will help me work on that skill.

Unfortunately, my order isn’t going to be here until Saturday, and I’ll be out of town, so I’ll have to wait until I get back. Maybe I’ll get lucky and my package will be delivered a few days early, so I can start reading sooner.

I’ll let you know what I think of these books when I finish them. I’ll also review the other books that I promised a year and a half ago.
